DOUG ASHTON

Doug Ashton, DPT, was born and raised in Provo, Utah, along with his 12 brothers and sisters. He participated in soccer, football, basketball, and track while growing up, developing an interest in exercise and fitness. This led to a career as a certified personal trainer while in college and a lifelong commitment to health and wellness. He graduated in 2010 from Utah Valley University with his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and then went on to Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions for his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013.

Doug has continued to learn and grow by obtaining his Diploma of Osteopractic from the American Academy of Manual Therapy in 2024. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2025 and possesses several other certifications. He has worked with a large variety of patients and conditions and enjoys making a difference in their health and well-being. His advanced training includes spinal manipulation, joint manipulation, and electrical dry needling. As a physical therapist, he combines hands-on techniques with exercise and functional movement training when appropriate for your condition. Doug is married with 3 children and enjoys spending time with his family, doing functional fitness, and maintaining an active lifestyle. His approach to physical therapy care helps patients understand their symptoms and take an active role in rehabilitation.
